Two red birds of paradise, one marked POM for Port Moresby and the other HNL for Honolulu, are joined by a sweeping red line on this Air Niugini sticker, under the words 'The direct link to Paradise'. Air Niugini, founded in November 1973 as Papua New Guinea's national airline, opened routes to Honolulu in 1979, linking two Pacific paradises. The Honolulu service has since ended, which makes this round sticker on its tan backing a neat reminder of a route that once crossed much of the Pacific.
