Air Tahiti is the inter-island airline of French Polynesia, based at Faa'a International Airport in Papeete. Its story began in July 1950; the operation later became the Réseau Aérien Interinsulaire and then Air Polynésie in 1970, before taking the Air Tahiti name in 1987.
