Allegheny Airlines invited travelers to Boston with the city's most famous midnight ride: Paul Revere galloping on horseback, set against a pink sky with the steeple of the Old North Church behind him, the church where lanterns signaled the British advance in 1775. Allegheny began in 1939 as All American Aviation, flying airmail around Pennsylvania and the Ohio valley, and took the Allegheny Airlines name in 1953. It grew into a major Northeastern carrier and renamed itself USAir in 1979. The artist and exact date of this poster are not recorded.
