A golden Statue of Liberty rises in front of a simplified Manhattan skyline on a field of blue in this mid-century poster for Allegheny Airlines, drawn in the clean, geometric style of postwar American graphic design. Allegheny started out in 1939 as All American Aviation, an airmail operator serving Pennsylvania and the Ohio valley, and adopted the Allegheny Airlines name in 1953 as it built a passenger network across the Northeast. The company became USAir in 1979. The artist of this design is not recorded.
