On a golden background, a blue-trimmed BAC One-Eleven streaks beneath the words Fly the new Alohajet, BAC One-Eleven, Rolls Royce Fan Jet, with the Aloha Airlines name and emblem along the bottom. This was Aloha's first jet: the first One-Eleven arrived in Honolulu on April 16, 1966. The airline had started in 1946 as Trans-Pacific Airlines and became Aloha Airlines in 1958. Its three One-Elevens were soon replaced by Boeing 737s and sold by mid-1969, making this a short and colorful chapter in Hawaiian aviation.
