A four-engined airliner flies over a golden map on this Avianca label, with routes reaching out from Colombia and a border naming Colombia, EE.UU., Europa, Jamaica, Panama and Ecuador. Beneath the winged emblem runs the claim "La empresa de aviacion mas antigua de America" - the oldest airline in America. Avianca traces that claim to SCADTA, founded in Barranquilla on 5 December 1919, which merged with SACO in 1940 to create Avianca. Labels like this were given to passengers to paste onto their luggage.
