A Balair twinjet with yellow wings, blue cheatline and the white Swiss cross on its red tail fills this sticker. The Swiss name goes back to 1925, when Balz Zimmermann founded Balair in Basel, but the company behind this jet was formed in 1953, with Swissair taking a 40% stake in 1959. Balair specialised in charter flying and merged with CTA in 1993 to form BalairCTA. Airlines handed out stickers like this one to holidaymakers for their suitcases.
