A silver four-engine airliner flies across a pale blue sky on this yellow label, framed by the words "Servicos Aereos Cruzeiro do Sul." The Brazilian airline began life in Rio de Janeiro on 1 December 1927 as Syndicato Condor, and after being nationalized in 1942 it became Servicos Aereos Cruzeiro do Sul on 16 January 1943, named for the Southern Cross. Varig took control in 1975, and Cruzeiro was fully absorbed into Varig on 1 January 1993. Passengers stuck labels like this on their suitcases.
