On a deep navy roundel ringed with the words Československé Aerolinie, a jaunty cartoon bird in a bow tie strides along carrying a red ČSA banner, with the letters OK on its wing. OK was the airline's two-letter code, which it kept for its entire history. ČSA was founded in Prague on 6 October 1923 as Czechoslovakia's state airline, began flying between Prague and Bratislava within weeks, and later became Czech Airlines in 1995.
