A silver twin-engine propliner climbs across a bright red disc, framed by the words Československé Aerolinie and anchored by large ČSA lettering at the bottom. Airlines once handed labels like this to passengers to stick on their suitcases, and this one comes from the era when the Czechoslovak flag carrier was still flying piston airliners. Founded in 1923, ČSA rebuilt after the Second World War with a fleet that included Douglas DC-3s from 1946 and Lisunov Li-2s from 1949.
