A blue line drawing of a leaping mouflon, the wild sheep found only on Cyprus, sits above a gold stripe and the words CYPRUS AIRWAYS in classic serif capitals. The mouflon emblem was created in 1962 by David Collins at the request of British European Airways. Cyprus Airways was established on 24 September 1947 by the colonial government, BEA and private investors, later flying from Larnaca, and ceased operations on 9 January 2015. Airlines handed passengers stickers like this to put on their luggage.
