An airliner flies over a bold red route map in this vintage-style poster art for the Czechoslovak Air Transport Co., promising "Speed & Comfort." The company, known at home as ČLS, was founded in spring 1927 as a rival to the state airline ČSA, with the Škoda concern among its shareholders and a focus on flights to Western Europe. It linked Prague with Leipzig, Essen and Amsterdam, flew via Munich and Zurich to Basel, and in 1937 joined KLM on a Rotterdam–Prague–Vienna–Budapest service, later extended to Croydon. Its fleet grew from Fokkers to Douglas DC-2s and DC-3s before it stopped flying in 1939. No original artist is recorded for this design.
