The Windy City is packed into an illustrated collage on a crisp white ground in this 1974 Delta Air Lines poster for Chicago, part of the airline's mid-1970s family of white-ground destination posters that also included Atlanta, Boston and Arizona. Chicago was a key stop on Delta's network, and in 1974 the airline also commissioned a painting of the city from California artist Jack Laycox for its poster program. Delta had grown from a 1925 crop-dusting operation in the Mississippi River Delta into a jet-age pioneer, the first airline to fly the Douglas DC-8 in 1959. The artist of this poster is not recorded.
The Gildan 2000, made with 100% U.S. cotton and the latest breakthrough in soft cotton technology, the Gildan Ultra Cotton family has been remastered for improved printability, quality, and comfort you can see and feel.
