Chicago's skyline shimmers in soft blues and greens in this painterly 1970s Delta Air Lines poster, built from loose brushwork rather than hard graphic shapes. In that decade Delta commissioned oil paintings of its destinations, including a 1974 view of Chicago by Jack Laycox, alongside Puerto Rico and Central Florida in 1976, and such paintings were often reproduced as posters for airports and travel agencies. The artist of this particular poster is not recorded. Delta, founded in 1925 as a crop-dusting operation in the Mississippi River Delta, was by then a major jet carrier, having been the first airline to fly the Douglas DC-8 in 1959.

The Gildan 2000, made with 100% U.S. cotton and the latest breakthrough in soft cotton technology, the Gildan Ultra Cotton family has been remastered for improved printability, quality, and comfort you can see and feel.
