By 1990 Delta Air Lines had moved from painted illustration to photography for its international posters, and this one for Greece shows why. A small whitewashed chapel stands bright against a deep blue sky, the classic island palette of white walls and blue that has become shorthand for the Aegean. The composition is spare and sunlit, letting the color do the work, with the Delta name and “Greece” set cleanly alongside. The photographer is not recorded on our copy. It belongs to a set of Delta photographic posters from the same year in this collection, including India and Russia.
