Delta Air Lines chose one of the world's most recognizable buildings for this 1990 photographic poster. St. Basil's Cathedral on Moscow's Red Square is shown at night, its swirling onion domes lit against the dark sky in vivid color. The cathedral was built in the 16th century under Ivan the Terrible and remains the symbol of Moscow. The photographer is not recorded on our copy. Dating from the final years of the Soviet Union, the poster belongs to a set of Delta photographic designs from the same year in this collection, alongside Greece and India.
