Framed in the lavender-grey border Airbus used for its aircraft stickers, a Delta Air Lines A220-100 crosses a white oval, its red-and-blue widget tail bright against the clean white fuselage, with the Airbus name above and the A220-100 designation below. Delta became the first U.S. airline to take the type when Airbus delivered its first A220-100 on 26 October 2018, at the Mirabel, Quebec, assembly line where the aircraft is built. Airbus announced at the time that the jet would enter service with Delta in early 2019, making this one of the newest airliners in the collection.
