A Delta Airbus A310 in the airline's red, white and blue stripes crosses a white oval framed in grey, with DELTA above and Airbus A310 below. The A310 was Delta's first Airbus type. It arrived in 1991, when Delta took over Pan Am's transatlantic routes and its New York-JFK and Frankfurt hub operations, along with 21 Pan Am A310s. Scheduled Delta A310 service began on 1 November 1991, mainly from JFK to Europe, and the last leased examples left the fleet in late 1995.
