A compact dark disc frames a jet in silhouette, edged by a laurel wreath and lettered Delta Air Lines around the rim. The sticker is tied to the Douglas DC-9, the twin-jet Delta added in 1965; Delta was the first airline to fly the DC-9, as it had been with the DC-8 and Convair 880. By 1970 Delta's fleet was all-jet. Small emblems like this one were made to be stuck on bags, briefcases and anything else that travelled.
