This is a working handling label rather than a souvenir: a cracked white goblet on a bright red field, with FRAGILE above, FRAGIL below and Delta Air Lines across the foot. The two spellings let baggage handlers on both sides of a border read the warning at a glance. Delta, named for the Mississippi Delta in 1928 and headquartered in Atlanta since 1941, grew into an international carrier, and in 1991 bought most of Pan Am's European routes.
