Red wings and a red triangle carry the words Delta Air Lines across a silver disc, ringed by The Trans-Southern Route and the three cities that defined it: Fort Worth, Atlanta and Charleston. That line was Air Mail Route 24, which Delta won in 1934; mail flights began on 4 July with Stinson Model T aircraft and passenger service followed on 5 August. Airlines handed passengers stickers like this to paste on their luggage. Seven years later, in 1941, Delta moved its headquarters to Atlanta.
