Walt Disney World opened near Orlando in October 1971, and this Delta Air Lines poster from the same year invited travelers to fly south and see it. The design centers on the fairy-tale castle at the heart of the new park, with the sleek monorail gliding past, a ride that was itself a big part of the resort's futuristic appeal. Bold color and simple shapes keep the message clear: a brand-new Florida destination was only a flight away. The artist is not recorded on our copy. It captures the excitement of the resort's very first season.
