A finely drawn dragon coils inside a red circle, with DRAGONAIR arched above and the Chinese name of Hong Kong Dragon Airlines below. Dragonair was founded in Hong Kong on 24 May 1985 by Chao Kuang Piu, and its first flight that July was a Boeing 737-200 service from Kai Tak to Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia. The airline became Cathay Dragon in November 2016 and stopped flying in October 2020, when Cathay Pacific folded it into its own operations.
