Shaped like a diamond, this sticker sets a red outline of Africa against navy and pale blue, crossed by ribbon banners reading East African and Airways, with a leaping lion inside a winged roundel. East African Airways was founded on 1 January 1946 and jointly owned by Kenya, Uganda, Tanganyika and Zanzibar, with its headquarters in Nairobi. It halted operations in January 1977, and Kenya Airways, Uganda Airlines and Air Tanzania took its place. Passengers were given labels like this to put on their luggage.
