Eastern Air Lines promoted Atlanta with this poster in a striking palette of teal and pink. The Georgia State Capitol, with its distinctive dome, rises in the background, while a Southern belle in the foreground nods to the city's Old South romance. Pairing the seat of state government with a figure from antebellum legend, the design presents Atlanta as both a modern capital and a gracious Southern city. The date and artist are not recorded on our copy. Atlanta was one of the cornerstones of Eastern's network, and this poster is a colorful reminder of the airline's long presence there.
