South Western reads the bold lettering on this round Eastern Air Lines label, where an orange falcon flies low over golden desert sand past a small mission-style tower, all under a teal sky. Like its sister labels for Chicago, Miami and New Orleans, it pairs Eastern's falcon with a regional scene. Airlines of the day gave passengers labels like this to put on their luggage. Eastern grew from Pitcairn Aviation, founded in 1926, and flew until January 1991.
