A red-and-cream circle carries the Florida Express name in white italic letters, with blank lines below for the flight number and destination to be written in by hand. Florida Express was an Orlando-based airline that began flying on January 26, 1984, using only BAC One-Eleven twin-jets. Braniff announced it would buy the carrier in October 1987; from January 1988 it flew as Braniff Express, and the purchase closed in April 1988, ending the Florida Express name.
