David Klein's 1960s Egypt poster for TWA is built on one bold close-up: a camel's head in a harness hung with red tassels, filling the top of the frame against a flat blue sky while a TWA jet slips past beneath its chin. Under the brush-script gold "Egypt" sit the pyramids and the Sphinx, with a robed figure and a second camel at the lower right. Klein (1918–2005) was TWA's signature poster artist through the late 1950s and 1960s, and his destination series sold the airline's new jet routes with exactly this formula — saturated color and a single unforgettable image.
