David Klein filled this circa-1960 India poster with one smiling ceremonial elephant, its head painted and hung with jewels, tassels and a red cloth, set against a shaded pink ground. "India" runs across the top in tall magenta lettering beside a red "Fly TWA Jets." It is one of the most colorful designs in Klein's TWA series and a favorite with collectors. Klein (1918–2005) created TWA's best-known destination posters of the jet age.
