This small diamond-shaped label carries a bold red 15 over the words Fifteenth Anniversary and the Frontier Airlines name, set on a gold ground with a red border. It comes from the original Frontier, the Denver-based carrier formed on June 1, 1950 by the merger of Arizona Airways, Challenger Airlines and Monarch Air Lines, and based at Stapleton Airport. That Frontier stopped flying on August 24, 1986, after being bought by People Express, and its jets later went to Continental. Airlines handed out stickers like this one for passengers to put on their luggage.
