A sweeping green swoosh and a long maroon arrow frame the words 'Fly Frontier Airlines' on this tan-bordered sticker. The original Frontier Airlines was formed on June 1, 1950, from the merger of Arizona Airways, Challenger Airlines and Monarch Air Lines, and was headquartered at Denver's Stapleton airport. Its first Boeing 727s arrived on September 30, 1966 and were promoted as 'Arrow-Jets'; the airline flew until it ceased operations on August 24, 1986. Passengers were given stickers like this for their luggage.
