Printed in a single deep purple like a poster stamp, this little label reads See Bangkok at the top, shows a seated Thai figure in an ornate costume, and signs off with the Garuda Indonesian Airways name. The airline flew under that name from December 1949 until 1985, when it became Garuda Indonesia. Its very first commercial flight, in January 1949, had already headed out of Indonesia, from Calcutta to Yangon.
