A pink 65 framed by purple flowers marks Hawaiian Airlines' 65 years of service, 1929 to 1994, with the Pualani hibiscus logo and the airline name at the bottom. The dates go back to Inter-Island Airways, incorporated in January 1929, which began sightseeing flights over Oahu that October in a Bellanca monoplane and started scheduled service that November. The company became Hawaiian Airlines in 1941.
