Drawn in warm brown on cream, this hotel luggage label frames a sketch of the Hotel Giorgione building in a curling Art Nouveau border, with Venezia beneath and a small tab marked Room for the porter to fill in the room number. Before airline stickers took over, hotels pasted labels like this onto guests' trunks and cases, so a well-travelled suitcase became a record of where its owner had stayed.
