Two identical small Icelandair stickers, still stacked as they came, each show a white seabird with black-tipped wings gliding across a blue silhouette of Iceland, with the ICELANDAIR name and blue F logo in the corner and a red, white and blue diagonal stripe below. Little labels like these were handed out to passengers for luggage and carry-ons. Icelandair's roots go back to 1937, when Flugfelag Akureyrar was founded in Akureyri; Icelandair has been the company's international trade name since 1979.
