Two stacked labels repeat the red circular emblem of Japan Asia Airways, once with the English wordmark and once with the Japanese name, 日本アジア航空. Airlines handed out stickers like this so passengers could mark their luggage. JAA was formed by Japan Airlines on 8 August 1975 as a wholly owned subsidiary to restore service between Japan and Taiwan, which had been suspended after Japan's 1975 air treaty with the People's Republic of China. Its first Taipei flights left on 15 September 1975, and the airline flew until 31 March 2008, after which JAL operated the routes itself.
