Two navy labels, each reading Compliments of Jet America beside the airline's round red, white and blue emblem, sit side by side on a cream backing. Jet America Airlines was founded on 11 September 1980 and began flying on 16 November 1981 from its base at Long Beach Airport in California, operating McDonnell Douglas MD-82 jets. Alaska Airlines acquired the carrier in late 1986, and Jet America was merged into Alaska and stopped flying under its own name on 1 October 1987.
