Part handling label, part advertisement: this LACSA sticker warns "FRAGIL" in big blue letters above the airline's slanted Lacsa logo and the bilingual line "La línea aérea de Costa Rica / The airline of Costa Rica". Líneas Aéreas Costarricenses was founded in October 1945 with the help of Pan American, began flying in 1946 and was named Costa Rica's flag carrier in 1949, based at San José's Juan Santamaría airport. It later joined Grupo TACA, and in 2013 began operating under the Avianca brand.
