Cut in the shape of a friendly, round-bodied jet, this Ladeco sticker carries the Chilean airline's name on the fuselage and a navy tail with its gold chevron. Ladeco, short for Línea Aérea Del Cobre or "Airline of Copper" in honour of Chile's principal export, was established in Santiago on 1 November 1958. LAN-Chile bought the airline in 1995, and in 2001 Ladeco was rebranded as LAN Express. Airlines gave stickers like this to passengers, and a shaped one like this was a favourite with younger travellers.
