Playful cut-paper shapes in red, purple, black and blue surround the white LOT crane on a blue square in this round sticker, with Polish Airlines and LOT lettered across it. Airlines handed out stickers like this to passengers to put on their luggage. LOT was founded in 1929, and its crane was designed at the turn of 1929 and 1930 by Tadeusz Gronowski, a Polish poster artist trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, for a competition held by the newly established airline.
