A simple cream label with With compliments of in flowing navy script above a small Polish Airlines line and the LOT wordmark with its crane. Labels like this accompanied gifts and printed matter from the airline, and passengers often stuck them on their bags. LOT was founded in 1929, and its crane emblem, designed at the turn of 1929 and 1930 by the Polish poster artist Tadeusz Gronowski for a competition held by the new airline, has stayed with it ever since.
