Big white letters spell out "Jot We De" on a bright red field, with the boxed LTU International Airways logo set underneath. LTU was established in 1955 and began flying in 1956; from 1961 its headquarters and main hub were at Düsseldorf, and it grew into one of Germany's best-known holiday airlines. Airlines handed out stickers like this so passengers could brighten up their luggage. The LTU name lasted until Air Berlin, which bought the airline in 2007, retired the brand, with the last LTU-coded flight operating in October 2009.
