"Wg. Urlaub", short for "wegen Urlaub", is the note German shops hang on the door when they close for the holidays. LTU borrowed it for this red sticker, set in heavy white type above the boxed LTU International Airways logo. The Düsseldorf airline, founded in 1955, specialised in carrying holidaymakers and was the only German operator of the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar. After Air Berlin bought LTU in 2007, the brand was phased out, ending with a final LTU-coded flight in October 2009.
