On a sunny yellow-orange square, a ring of text reads "Direkte til Berlin, begivenhetenes by", Norwegian for "Direct to Berlin, the city of events", around the crane emblem and a bold Lufthansa wordmark. The message carried real weight. During the division of Germany, the Allied powers did not allow Lufthansa to fly to any part of Berlin; after reunification on 3 October 1990, the airline swiftly brought the city back into its network. A sticker like this celebrated that return for travellers from Norway.
