Australian poster artist Percy Trompf (1902-1964) designed this 1934 poster for the Australian National Travel Association to promote the "World's Greatest Air Race," the MacRobertson Trophy race from England to Australia held for the Victorian and Melbourne Centenary. A goggled airman in a flying helmet sits in an open cockpit among wires and struts. Conceived by Melbourne's Lord Mayor and sponsored by confectioner MacPherson Robertson, the race ran from RAF Mildenhall in England to Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, with compulsory stops at Baghdad, Allahabad, Singapore, Darwin and Charleville.
The Gildan 2000, made with 100% U.S. cotton and the latest breakthrough in soft cotton technology, the Gildan Ultra Cotton family has been remastered for improved printability, quality, and comfort you can see and feel.
