This version of the McDonnell Douglas MD-88 sticker dresses its grinning cartoon jet in gold and black stripes, with a chunky MD-88 logo below. Part of the MD-80 family, the MD-88 first flew on August 15, 1987, and entered service with launch customer Delta Air Lines on January 5, 1988. The rear-engined twinjet carried passengers on short and medium routes for many years, and this playful promotional art shows how the manufacturer liked to present it: friendly, bright and ready to go.
