Northwest Orient Airlines flew north to Alaska as well as west across the Pacific, and this poster sums up the territory in two powerful images. A carved totem pole rises in the foreground, a monument of the Indigenous peoples of the Alaskan coast, while snow-capped mountains fill the distance in cool shades of blue.
