Flamenco, the song and dance tradition of Andalusia, has long stood for Spain as a whole in travel art, and here it gives the Spanish capital a sense of movement, color and night-time energy. This is a modern restored rendering, and the date and artist of any original are not recorded here. Pan Am named its airliners Clippers after the swift sailing ships of the nineteenth century, and its posters for Europe leaned on just this kind of single striking figure.
