A deep valley winds between the high peaks of the Andes in this restored, vintage-style poster art for Panagra, simply titled "Peru." The date and artist of the design are not recorded. Panagra, Pan American-Grace Airways, was formed in 1928 as a partnership between Pan American Airways and the W. R. Grace Company, whose steamship lines already reached deep into South America. Together they built an air route down the west coast of the continent, and Peru, with Lima and the mountain country of the Incas, was one of the airline's signature destinations until Panagra was absorbed by Braniff in 1967.
