La Ruta Panagra reads the top of this green-and-white oval, and Pan American Airways System runs along the bottom. In the centre a winged globe showing South America joins the names PAA and GRACE, the two owners of Pan American-Grace Airways. Pan Am and W. R. Grace and Company each held half of Panagra, which flew down the west coast of South America from the Canal Zone to Chile and Argentina and in 1929 became the first to cross the Andes between Buenos Aires and Santiago. It merged into Braniff in 1967.
